OFA Symposium 2024 CfP

Hosted by
Digital Data Design Institute
at Harvard

The CfP is now open for the OpenForum Academy 2024 Symposium. Submission deadline is 7 August 2024, 23:59 anywhere on earth. Please submit an abstract with a maximum of 400 words.

Eligible papers

The OFA Symposium is an interdisciplinary conference on Open Source and proposals need to be relevant. A list of possible topics is available on the Symposium website, but feel free to suggest any topic you find relevant.

We seek papers from academics and practitioners. The audience for the Symposium includes researchers, academics and relevant practitioners in Open Source Software and Open Source Hardware.

Review process

Submitted abstracts are evaluated by the Programme Committee in a double-blind peer review process. If an abstract is accepted, the author agrees to send a full-text paper by 09 October and to make the paper camera-ready by 30 October, after feedback.

Presentations

Presentations are scheduled for 25 minutes with time for discussion together with other talks of the same thematic area.

Questions can be directed to: info@openforumeurope.org

Travel support

The organisers are able to cover the travel costs of a select number of presenters. Please indicate in the CfP if you require travel support to come to Boston.

Can this talk be construed as a sales pitch? While case study/demo talks are perfectly acceptable, sales pitches disguised as objective/substantive/educational talks are not. Please respect our attendees and keep this in mind when constructing any talk. *
