Yu-Kai Lin
Dr. Yu-Kai Lin is an associate professor of Computer Information Systems (CIS) and a member of the Center for Digital Innovation (CDIN) in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. His research spans across several domains, including digital innovation, open source collaboration, intellectual property, health IT, and business analytics. His work has been published in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Organization Science, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Biomedical Informatics, and IEEE Intelligent Systems. His work has multiple times been nominated for the best paper award at leading information systems conferences. He is the recipient of the 2022 AIS Early Career Award.
Dr. Lin teaches undergraduate- and graduate-level courses related to AI and data analytics, including database management systems, unstructured data management, and advanced AI topics in business. He received the Top Professor Award in 2023 for his teaching effectiveness. He has also engaged in mentoring and supporting several doctoral students.
He has been involved in many internal and external service activities. He is currently on the editorial review board of Information Systems Research and serves as an associate editor for Decision Support Systems. Dr. Lin has also served as guest associate editor for MIS Quarterly and associate editor for several conferences in the field of information systems. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. He previously taught at Florida State University.
