Yiqi Li

- Dr. Yiqi Li is an Assistant Professor at the School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University (S.U.) in Fall 2021. Her research lies at the intersection of social networks, computational social science, and online communities. The overarching goal is to understand how individuals and/or organizations communicate, interact, and engage in collective/connective actions in computer-mediated communities such as Twitter and OpenIDEO. She specializes in multilevel and longitudinal network analysis, big data analytics, and topic modeling, and studies the formation and evolution of various types of communication networks.
Dr. Li’s research has been published in Computers in Human Behavior, Health Communication, and Public Relations Review. She has presented several papers at top-level conferences such as the International Communication Association (ICA), the National Communication Association (NCA), and the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA). Dr. Li earned her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communication. Before her doctoral studies, she obtained her master’s degree from Northwestern University and her bachelor’s degree from Shanghai International Studies University.
