Celina Agaton
Celina Agaton is a Filipino-Canadian scientist, community organizer, strategist and technologist leading global civic technology, infrastructure and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) initiatives for cross-sector communities, multilateral agencies and policy makers in Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Americas. She is the founder of OK Kit, a local data economy and MSME program empowering local communities with 2-17 times higher local wages and the stewardship of their own economic, climate, and social prosperity. Celina leads initiatives for World Bank, CGIAR, APEC-Canada, governments and conglomerates. She is an APEC-Canada Growing Business Partnership Country Implementation Partner and Project Advisory Committee Member, a Pacific Forum Women, Peace and Security Fellow, Subak Climate Action Fellow, and Telus International Community Board member. Prior to joining the impact sector 15 years ago, Celina worked in politics, think tanks, tourism, luxury hospitality, and healthcare, specializing in blockbuster drug launches for Canadian pharmaceutical companies for seven years. She worked on the largest pharmaceutical launch at $25M and led the fastest launch at one month. She regenerates supply chains in Indigenous, remote communities and creative industries to support governance, climate adaptation, gender, and micro to medium enterprise.
